MiJo’s tex-mex & cantina is owned and operated by Claudia Caballero and is derived from Panchito’s Mexican Restaurant and Pericos Mexican Cuisine. Panchito’s is owned and operated by Roy and Evelyn Reyes. Pericos Mexican Cuisine is owned and operated by Russell Reyes. For the past 30 years the Reyes family has provided its guests in San Antonio true authentic Mexican food, famous homemade flour and corn tortillas and outstanding service. Claudia is bringing the same great recipes, with an Austin twist!
MiJo’s tex-mex & cantina is named after two very special children, Mia Caballero and Jordan Russell. Mia and Jordan are my neice and nephew. The restaurant is specifically named after both children, Mi for Mia and Jo for Jordan. You will see them often eating in the restaurant. Their pictures are on almost every table in the house.
