Maureen Vincenti began her career in the restaurant industry with her late husband Mauro Vincenti
. Mauro was the pioneering owner of Rex il Ristorante in downtown Los Angeles and for nearly 20 years was one of the city’s most passionate and knowledgeable champions of Italian cuisine. Vincenti had a keen sense of aesthetics, both on and off the plate and helped introduce Los Angeles to contemporary Italian cooking. When Mauro passed away in 1996 Maureen closed the Rex and moved to Brentwood to open Vincenti bringing with her Gino Angelini and Nicola Mastronardi both of whom Mauro discovered in Rimini Italy. When Gino Angelini left to open his Osteria, Nicola became the Executive Chef at Vincenti and has received rave reviews from both Jonathan Gold and S.Irene Virbila.
Since 1997 Vincenti Ristorante has combined sophistication and elegance with warmth and comfort. Maureen Vincenti welcomes you at the door and there is not a bad seat in the house with Master Chef Nicola Mastronardi providing your entertainment visible from nearly every seat in the dining room. Chef Mastronardi’s cuisine emphasizes freshness and his menus change seasonally. In addition to our regular menu, Chef Nicola prepares a special daily “Menu Degustazione,” a 6 course tasting menu designed to heighten your culinary senses. While some ingredients are imported directly from Italy, others are sourced from the finest local producers. Service is professional yet casual.
