Rome – in the ancient capital of the seven hills four childhood friends were raised, educated and grew up together. They remained inseparable friends throughout their elementary and high school years, creating a bond as strong as any family. In fact, the four were closer than brothers then and remain so to this day.
All developed the great love of food, drink, and entertaining shared by their heritage and as they became men, each traveled his own path in the hospitality business. Their family bond never wavered and when one was presented an employment opportunity in the United States working for a family owned hotel, he asked the others to travel along as well. They’d viewed all the western movies growing up – cowboys, indians, cavalry, ‘How the West was Won’, and were interested in life in the U.S.
The early 1980’s found the four in Los Angeles seeking a new life. With a diligent work ethic, all four made employment inroads and after a year they needed to decide if they would remain or return to their native land. The four returned to Italy for a few months and while there collectively decided to return to Los Angeles. They were family in Italy and remain family in Los Angles now. They’ve been here ever since… In the 1990’s, two of the group decided to use their lifelong knowledge of Italian cuisine, wines and the Roman style of family entertaining to do things their way.
They formed a partnership and opened their first restaurant. Since that initial successful endeavor, they’ve added several more, all offering excellent Italian cuisine, produced from quality ingredients and served in the family atmosphere they grew up with.
