Brothers, chefs and restaurateurs Bruce and Eric Bromberg have been guiding forces in the culinary world for over twenty years, quietly establishing themselves as the unsung renaissance men of the restaurant industry in New York City and beyond. The Brombergs’ culinary journey began in their upbringing with family trips to a small town in Provence and grew together. After attending Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, the brothers’ paths diverged. Eric staged at top restaurants in France before returning stateside to Jonathan Waxman’s JAMS and Raoul’s in NYC and later, opening Nick and Eddie. Bruce apprenticed in Paris before learning the art of bread baking and haute cuisine.
After honing their skills in the restaurants of New York, in 1992 the Bromberg brothers opened the original Blue Ribbon Brasserie on Sullivan Street in Manhattan. They introduced a new wave of dining with an eclectic range of food and a casual atmosphere that became an industry meeting ground for chefs and gourmands alike. Continuing to expand in different directions, their roster of concepts showcases their ability to master many cuisines. Blue Ribbon Restaurants today includes eight restaurants in Manhattan, two in Brooklyn, and now our latest ventures at Brooklyn Bowl London and Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas.
