A traditional French Bistro, now located in the heart of New Orleans Warehouse District. Jacques Saleun, the Chef and owner of Château du Lac Bistro, has enjoyed success in world-class milieus of Paris, New York, and New Orleans. His classical French training began at the age of 15 in Brittany, France where he was born. Over the next 20 years, Chef Jacques worked his way up through the ranks of four-star Parisian kitchens before moving to the United States. After moving from New York City, in April 2005, Chef Jacques opened Château du Lac Bistro.
In January 2008, Chef Jacques opened his new, expanded location in Old Metairie. And, in 2014 he opened a second location in New Orleans Arts District. He prepares traditional dishes that can be found on dinner tables throughout France, such as Coq Au Vin, Escargots Bourguignon and French Onion Soup, as well as original masterpieces.
Château du Lac’s seasonal menu is prepared with the freshest local ingredients, offering specials that change daily.
