Eddie Papa’s American Hangout – Pleasanton

Eddie Papa’s American Hangout is a family friendly, fun filled American style bar and grill featuring signature regional dishes from throughout the United States and handcrafted artisan beverages. A place where quality need not be expensive, the food is always made from scratch, and the service is real, genuine, and caring. The concept was created by Pleasanton resident Edward Westmoreland as homage to his Armenian grandfather and celebrates the food and beverage cultures of America.

Our menu selections are indigenous to a city, state, or region of our country (Philly Cheese steaks, New Orleans Jambalaya, Kansas City Barbeque, Hawaiian Ahi, Southern Fried Chicken, etc.), or represent a time period in our country’s history that engrained the dish as an American classic (meatloaf – 1950′s, casseroles – 1930′s) and macaroni che cheese – late 1700′s). The menu will change with the seasons using local organic produce, all natural proteins, sustainable seafood, and house made deserts.

The beverage program features nostalgic soda, beer and wine choices, along with contemporary items reflecting the best of what each industry has to offer. The cocktail pays tribute to classic drinks, invented in America throughout the ages and use the finest selections of premium hand crafted spirits, fresh squeezed juices, and house made syrups, bitters, and purees. The back bar selection strives to be recognized as one of the finest offerings in the Bay Area. The look and feel of the restaurant is simple, clean and comfortable providing guests with an opportunity to relax, unwind, and hangout. Comfortable booths and banquettes are available for seating in the spacious dining room, while the lounge will be a combination of bar tables and lounge furniture. The decor is highlighted by professionally photographed black and white photographs of people enjoying food, friends, and family in traditional social settings.
