We offer almost 80 types of bottled beer. Plus, 16 beers on tap, we even have cask beer. In addition to our house beers like heffeveizen and tavern ale, we’re also pouring drafts from several other Sonoma County breweries including Russian River, Lagunitas, and the thoroughly enjoyed Moonlight Brewing Co. And the draft beers are not restricted to local makers. If it’s delicious, Hopmonk wants to carry it, whether it’s from England, Scotland or Belgium. And if you want wine, that’s ok too. We’ve got a nice selection, and, as our website states, no one will give you “stink-eye” for ordering it.
In addition to the great beer (and wine, and even some hard cider), the Hopmonk is also serving up an eclectic menu with anything form portabello burgers to fresh house beer-battered fish and chips to curry samosas and sweet potato fries, to a NY steak or slice of chocolate cake the size of Sonoma County!
As far as the atmosphere, it can’t be beat. Hopmonk Tavern is located in a 100-year-old stone landmark building which was once the powerhouse for the Petaluma & Santa Rosa Railway, an electric railroad that once served Sebastopol. Now it serves the town with comfy booths, a cozy bar, and fantastic outdoor Beer Garden. As if that wasn’t enough, after dinner enjoy amazing live music in the Abbey attached to the Beer Garden with its own bar and space for dancing.
