Kobe Steaks – Nashville – Closed

Owner Katsuhiko “Vic” Watanabe proudly opened Kobe Steaks in a small Atlanta 17th Street location 36 years ago, introducing many Atlantans to hibachi-style cooking. In 1977 an opportunity to open a larger location in Nashville, Tennessee arose and keen to expand, Vic successfully moved Kobe Steaks to Nashville.

Kobe Steaks Nashville proved to be an instant success but Vic always dreamed of expanding the size of the Atlanta restaurant. In 1978 his dream was to come true, re-opening in the Prado. Further growth followed, with expansion following soon after to Dallas, Texas.

The success of the Atlanta restaurant meant that in 1994 Kobe Steaks needed to move the restaurant up one level to its current location (upstairs from the former restaurant). To ensure an overall Japanese dining experience, the restaurant’s décor was carefully designed by one of Japan’s leading architects.

Over 36 years have passed and all three locations offer the freshest carefully selected cuisine and the most entertaining dining experience available, Owner Katsuhiko “Vic” Watanabe and all the staff welcome you, and invite you to enjoy Kobe Steaks.
