Lenoir Restaurant – Austin

In January of 2012, husband and wife Todd Duplechan and Jessica Maher opened Lenoir with two big ideas: to help build a strong culinary community in Austin, and to redefine the food style of Austin. It’s big, but we’re not the only ones. Central Texas is lucky enough to have a vibrant community of farmers and food artisans who provide incredible produce, meat, cheese and inspiration. We source almost exclusively from them to serve a menu that changes with the seasons, and that’s truly Texas food.

Dinner at Lenoir comes in three courses for $38 in an intimate and chic dining room that seats 34. The menu changes weekly, and we offer daily specials off-menu.

Our wine program supports our food, but it does more than that. We like wines with a sense of place. We’ve always enjoyed finding examples of what a wine-producing region does really well. And so we try to share that. Our list is filled with iconic bottles from places known for great wine: Burgundy, Piedmont, Tokaji, Austria, Rioja and so many more.

Cuisine

We call it Hot Weather Food, and it’s about eating right for the season and the climate. It’s important to think about what we eat in relation to where we live — and it’s hot in Texas. Historically, when you look at cultures that live in hot parts of the world, food is acidic, citrusy, brothy and spicy because that’s what works with the climate. So we emulate that and keep it light: very little butter, cream and gluten. It’s food that works with the climate. It’s good for your body. It’s good for the heat. It’s Hot Weather Food.

Wine Dinner Series Revival
Announcing the revival of our awesome wine dinners, this time with a twist. We’ll be hosting some of our favorite wine folks in our new ‘private dining room’ for well-curated intimate wine dinners starting this month. We’re excited to create menus to work with each selection of wines, and our hosts will be at the dinner to talk about their selections and why they love them so. Tickets are $125 for 5 courses with wine pairings and include gratuity, but not tax. Seats are limited, so reserve yours soon.
