On 2 February, 2011, Pause opened at 1666 Market Street, on the edge of Hayes Valley, in the rapidly changing Mid Market district. While Yield remains the cozy wine bar our neighbors have grown to love, Pause provides more seating and a semi-private room for parties and special events.
Over the past 6 years, we are proud to say that we have accomplished the main goals that we had set out to achieve: provide friendly and knowledgeable service, serve great tasting eco-friendly wine, and offer a wide selection of wine-friendly vegetarian food.
It has been a pleasure getting to know and grow with our neighborhoods and meeting the people who make these communities what they are. We look forward to the new friends we’ll make in the years to come.
