What is Shabu Shabu?
Shabu-Shabu is the Japanese art of cooking thinly sliced meat or seafood with vegetables by dipping them in a boiling broth. Shabu Shabu is derived from the “swish” sound when cooking meats or seafood in a pot. It is said to have been created by Genghis Khan in the 13th Century as a means of feeding his high army. Shabu Shabu was the choice of cooking because of its light and healthy benefits. A platter of thin slices of meat or seafood with assorted vegetables, tofu and udon noodles were provided for cooking.
How to enjoy Shabu Shabu the Shabu Grill way
Dunk the morsels of quality meat or seafood with vegetables, tofu and udon noodles in our delicious boiling broths. After the ingredients are cooked, dip them in either three of our signature sauces, Sa’Cha Sauce, Seafood Sauce and Thai Chili Sauce. Shabu platters are served with steamed rice on the side. Cook, dip and enjoy!
