Mat, Canela’s executive chef, has dedicated his life to create sophisticated and unforgettable flavors using only top of the line local products. We, Mat and Paco, came to San Francisco over 13 years ago and immediately fell in love with the Castro neighborhood. This is the neighborhood where we started our own family and have built our life together. Now we want to share that love with you and create a place of enjoyment and celebration for everybody who lives here or wants to come to visit our beloved Castro district.
