Fadó (pronounced f’doe) is an Irish term meaning ‘long ago’. The Irish use it to start a story (the equivalent of ‘once upon a time’ ). We chose the name because at Fadó, we are telling the story of Ireland’s evolving Pub culture.
You have always gotten great Guinness, Fish and Chips and fun in the best pubs in Dublin. Today, you will also see from-scratch cooking, craft beers from local breweries and quality, housemade cocktails. The Irish Pub in Ireland has evolved and we have evolved with them.
Irish owned and operated, we started in Austin in the Warehouse district in 1997; many things have changed in this great city and within our pub. But, we still manage to ‘keep it weird’.
