Fadó (pronounced f’doe) is an Irish term meaning ‘long ago’. Irish would used to start a story (the equivalent of ‘once upon a time’ ). We chose the name because at Fadó, we are telling the story of Ireland’s evolving Pub culture.
The pubs in Dublin today have changed from just a few years ago, you’d be surprised. Today you’ll see from-scratch cooking and seasonal food menus, craft beers from local breweries and quality and loads of housemade cocktails. The Irish Pub in Ireland has evolved and we have evolved with them.
Ours is an Irish pub where the food is as important as the drink with all the items made fresh in house. You will see our food menu change seasonally and adapt to make sure Fadó is a quality option whether you are just snacking or going out for a full meal. You won’t get a better pint of draught beer in town due to our comprehensive quality program (we call it ‘From Gas to Glass’) and we feature a list of high quality wines and ever changing seasonal cocktails.
There is always something on at Fadó in Mary Brickell Village: live bands, DJ’s, Pub Quiz team trivia, a great happy hour and other events fill the calendar. We’re also the top spot in Miami for soccer and rugby, attracting great crowds for La Liga, English Premier League, Champion’s League and the World Cup. Of course we support US Soccer, the Heat and Dolphins as well as all the major European and American competitions.
Our authentic Irish Pub was imported from Ireland, lock, stock and barrel. The interior is unmatched in Miami as far as the quality of craftsmanship and detail. The story of Fadó Miami begins with the design of the pub. It’s broken up into a number of sections, each with a specific intent.
The Indoor / Outdoor Deck
Go through the door and we are now in the Deck area of the Pub. The Top Deck Lounge, overlooking Mary Brickell Village, is a perfect place to meet friends for Happy Hour, have a meeting or catch a soccer game!
The Deck Area is important to the night life in Miami. Almost all of the windows open up to the street. The light fixtures were selected to represent make-shift outdoor lighting and the furniture is designed to be like typical outdoor deck furniture.
The artwork here is another representation of the Oisin legend. The story goes that Oisin, living in Tir Na Nog as an immortal, falls in love with a mortal woman. He is allowed to leave his land and be with her as long as he stays on his horse. His lover is so overcome with happiness that as she gets on the horse to join him, he falls off and immediately ages and dies.
You will also see artwork telling the story of the freedom of Saint Patrick. He was abducted and sold into slavery to an Irish chieftain when he was just 16 . The design tells the story of his escape and eventual return to Ireland. Saint Patrick is known for saving the Irish people from paganism (the “driving out of the snakes”) by bringing Christianity to the clans. Saint Patrick’s day is a huge celebration in both Ireland and America and a major event for Fado Irish Pub. Interestingly enough, there are no snakes on the island of Ireland to this day.
We open early on the weekends for all the best in European sports - Rugby, English Premier League, Scottish Premier League, FA Cup, International competition and more. Check sports schedule for details.
