Lori’s Dinner – Mason – San Francisco PERMANENTLY CLOSED

Lori’s Diner 336 Mason, the first location in SF, was opened in 1986. Open 24 hours, it features counter service, all day breakfast, sparkling red booths, rock n roll, and Coca-Cola, Elvis and Marilyn Monroe memorabilia.

The great food and the fun theme of Lori’s Mason became so popular that in order to meet the demand for service, a new, bigger location was needed. In 1993, Lori’s Diner 500 Sutter opened its doors. Not only did this store possess all of the nostalgic trappings of the others, it also featured a bigger menu and a lot more space. To top it all off, it was then equipped with a 43 Allstate motorcycle, 59 Edsel, and an enormous collection Of vintage radios! This location, also famous for the all day breakfasts and great burgers, proved to be an even greater success with its classic dinners and desserts.

It wasn’t long before customer demand prompted Lori’s Diner to expand once again. In 1995, only 2 years after the last Grand Opening, Lori’s Diner 149 Powell made its debut. This location, the largest yet, could be called a museum of sorts, as well as being the same famous diner as the other two. Large enough to house pre-war airplanes, a Chevy Bel Air, a Chrysler, a vintage Indian motorcycle, a pinball arcade, and any large party that you could throw our way! It is a true vision of American paradise.

What better way to serve our traveling customers than being right in the San Francisco International Airport In 1999, Lori’s was given a very rare opportunity. Out of 1,300 applications from established Bay Area restaurants, only 16 were to be selected for the newly built international terminal. We were one of the selected few! In late 2000, when the new international terminal opened, so did Lori’s SFO. This concept carried over to the newest Airport locations at Terminal 1, featuring a classic 1959 Cadillac, and the most exciting Terminal 3 hub location.

Lori’s Ghirardelli Square Opened in summer 2000. This upscale diner overlooks the beautiful San Francisco Bay. Right in the heart of the famous Ghirardelli Chocolate factory, this diner offers both indoor and outdoor dining, counter service and the same fabulous atmosphere as all our other locations.
