Matador Room – Miami Beach Edition

Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s Matador Room offers his distinctive modern interpretation of Latin cuisine influenced by Spanish, Caribbean and South American flavors. The seasonal menu, composed of small and large plates, embraces Miami’s strong sense of place and locality through locally sourced, seasonal, inventive cooking. The restaurant’s historic, oval-shaped dining room recalls all the excitement of Miami Beach’s heyday. Just outside, the expansive Matador Terrace provides beachfront views and a custom Ipe trellis with climbing bougainvillea.

Overlooking the hotel’s pool deck, the Matador Bar features American black walnut-panelled walls with photographs from renowned French photographer Lucien Clerque’s Matador series. A solid walnut floating bar stands at the center of the room, surrounded by custom furniture and banquettes in soft jewel-toned velvet. The Matador Bar pays homage to the classic cocktail experience. Providing bespoke crafted cocktails, Matador Bar’s tenured barmen utilize the freshest ingredients to expertly prepare each drink while delivering a unique experience with exemplary service.
