Nizam of India was established in 1985 and was the first Indian restaurant in the West LA area. Our current chef, who likes to be anonymous, started working in the restaurant in 1994. His uncle Mahesh Talim, the founder of the restaurant and an award-winning chef, passed on the family recipes him. The chef’s love of cooking and passion for good Indian food have created a following of customers that have been with us since the restaurant originally opened.
