Sandpiper Restaurant & Cafe – Bodega Bay – CLOSED

History has it that Bodega Bay was Sir Francis Drake’s first west coast “Port of Call”, followed shortly thereafter, in 1775, by the Spanish Peruvian explorer Juan Francisco de la Bodega y Quaadra.
But the bay that was originally named for him was not present day Bodega, but Tomales Bay.

Fast forward almost two and a half centuries and, although Bodega Bay is far removed from the excitement of new world exploration, the Sandpiper Bodega Bay Restaurant still lends itself to the beckon call of intrigue and adventure . . . and an unforgettable dining experience.
