At Tava, we believe in the power of food that is handmade – food that is crafted with love and care. Our burrotis are wrapped lovingly in roti we make fresh in-store. Our sauces are seasoned with spices we roast in small batches. Our chutneys are ground daily using fresh produce.
At Tava, we believe that you don’t need to go to a fancy sitdown restaurant to be treated like a king. Walk through our doors, be our guest. Leave the rest to us. Everything we do is with the goal of putting a smile on your face.
Jason, Hasnain and Vijay left comfortable jobs in consulting and private equity in order to pursue their dream of creating something different. Starting a restaurant was the perfect fit: they loved entertaining, feasting, and just being around good people – and they each adored South Asian food. Hasnain and Vijay grew up with it, and Jason fell in love with it as a teenager in D.C.
At Tava, we don’t just think of ourselves as a restaurant. We’re a place to break bread with friends and a great way to introduce them to the wonders of Indian cusine.
