The Armenian Gourmet – Sunnyvale

The Armenian Gourmet restaurant opened in 1974 in the Fair Oaks Shopping Center in Sunnyvale, California, where you’ll find it today. Florence and Aram Janjigian moved from Chicago, where Aram was part of the management of the world-famous Mr. Kelly’s supperclub. His introduction to professional Armenian cooking was at the Sayat Nova Restaurant in the Chicago area.
Our basic menu throughout the years remains unchanged. The few changes reflect the evolving eating habits of our clientele. In general, the menu has a Lebanese-Armenian approach in its use of spices and flavoring, combining Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and Near Eastern tastes. Not spicy, but mildly flavored is the taste that attracts customers to this 48-seat restaurant in the heart of Silicon Valley.
Join us for a healthy, hearty meal at a reasonable price.
