The Knife Restaurant – Doral

We are much more than a traditional “all-you-can-eat” restaurant. What sets us apart from the rest not is only the quality of our Argentine-style cuts of meat, charcoal-grilled in the traditional way, allowing each customer to unlimited choices of what he wishes to eat, but also the beverages and the choice of desserts we include in our regular fee.

Our experience in the restaurant business dates back to 1986 in Argentina, where we coveted the idea of offering our cuisine to other parts of the world, specifically our top-choice meats traditionally grilled over charcoal.

The Knife is an Argentinian-style “parrilla” restaurant that offers its customers attentive and cordial service, comfortable surroundings, a mouth-watering array of desserts and, above all, a variety of high-quality cuts of meat that will surprise even the most demanding gourmand.

Our main goal is to offer our very best. It is our pleasure to see our customers enjoy our restaurant and our cordial service, while savoring the extensive variety and excellent quality of each and everyone one of our products.

A certain type of wood, quebracho, may be used to fire up the grill but charcoal is preferred. Once the coals are well lit (red embers), no longer letting off smoke and are covered with a fine white ash, then it is time to prepare your grill by cleaning it off with a piece of sturdy white paper or clean, dry cloth. Rub pieces of meat fat over the grill.

Generally, the amount of kilos of meat required is placed on the grill, including thick or thin-sliced ribs, an open-faced beef or pork flank steak, a cut of steak, some black sausages and spicy Argentine sausages.
The parrilla may be completed with a selection of variety of meats: sweetbreads, kidneys, “chinchulines” and even grilled vegetables such as onions, sliced in half and seasoned with olive oil and salt; or various pimentos, seasoned with olive oil, vinegar, and salt after being grilled. To put it mildly, there is nothing walking on the face of the earth that cannot be placed on the grill!

Recognizing the exact grilling times required for each cut of meat, so as to serve it as its prime, demands and experience that is acquired over a lifetime. The art of grilling is just the same as other arts; there are the talented… and then there are others.
