The Peasant & The Pear, is the flagship restaurant of The Worth Group, a handful of eateries owned by award-winning chef, Rodney Worth. As much a casual gathering place for friends and family as an impeccable white-tablecloth restaurant, our charming, French-inspired auberge, located in historic downtown Danville, California, prides itself on serving elegantly prepared “peasant cuisine”. In signature style, Chef Rodney takes classics and nostalgic favorites and spins them into rustic, heart-warming dishes with a modern sensibility. Our diverse menu includes hearty entrées, seasonal salads, gourmet sandwiches and hand-crafted pastries made in-house daily by our pastry chef. Chef Rodney’s Favorite: Italian Lamb Shank – Sonoma lamb shank slow-braised in Chianti, osso buco-style, topped with lamb demi-glace & gremolata, served with creamy provolone polenta.

Happy Hour, Monday through Friday from 2:30-5:00 in the bar or on the patio!
