The Wallace is the vision of husband and wife team Michael and Carol Teich, serving locavore, sustainable fare inspired by the seasons. The Wallace has an underlying philosophy that food should be thoughtfully executed, from start to finish, with a focus on stunning preparations that bring out the essence of the ingredients. Whether a menu that highlights peak seasonal produce and vegetables or the chef’s decision to serve only seafood deemed “safe and sustainable” by the Monterey Bay Aquarium, The Wallace is a rustic yet elegant dining destination that offers an inventive and welcoming culinary experience.

Michael and Carol’s backgrounds in the hospitality industry bring together their loves for food and family. Passionate about his craft, Executive Chef Teich trained in culinary arts at the Art Institute in Santa Monica before working at celebrated Venice restaurant Axe and serving as Corporate Executive Chef for renowned hospitality group SBE. Carol, a true hostess by nature, is a hospitality industry expert with more than 10 years of experience with some of Los Angeles’ most prestigious hospitality destinations including The Ritz-Carlton, Napa Valley Grille and Shutters on the Beach.  She studied at Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena, CA, receiving her culinary degree and Sommelier certificate.
