Ushuaia, which first opened its doors in April of 2012, is the latest success of restaurant entrepreneurs Pablo Alcorta, Javier Pardini, and Luciano Alcorta. All three native Argentines, Pablo, Javier, and Luciano worked in the restaurant industry for many years, before opening their first restaurant, the incredibly popular Malbec Argentine Bistro in Pasadena and later a second location in Toluca Lake. With the success of their two Malbec locations as well as many years of restaurant service under their belts, the three set their sights on higher aspirations, opening a truly authentic Argentine steak house in Santa Monica that would offer its patrons the best dining in LA.
